Elders

The New Testament scriptures give examples of local churches being led by a plurality of godly men. They are responsible for shepherding by ensuring the feeding of the body through insightful, relevant, and accurate Biblical teaching. Elders are to guide the life of the church with the assistance of other spiritually mature individuals. Each elder is responsible for the direct shepherding of a segment of the congregation, which we refer to as a flock group. All elders are shepherding elders and will be called to fulfill the Biblical mandate of shepherding the flock. Some shepherding elders will take on added responsibility and be called to serve on the Guiding Elder Team. The Guiding Elders are the governing board of our church and are responsible and authorized to ensure the church remains on a Biblical course and that the mission of the church is carried out.
